EMOTIONAL LITERACY MATTERS

Professional Coaching

Coaching Programme offered by our coaches and aspiring coaches is about:

  • Building Emotional Literacy skills in self and others
  • Creating and identifying a professional vision
  • Recognising and utilising strengths and develop challenges
  • Setting definable and doable goals
  • Acquiring strategies for sustaining personal and professional development

Why Emotional Literacy?
Emotions contain “data” – they serve important communicative and social functions and convey information about our thoughts, intentions, and behaviour.  This “functional” view of emotion is now studied by Psychologists and Educators, as well as business professionals. Psychologists also show that one’s ability to manage emotions effectively is critical to optimal relationships. Emotional Literacy is the skill that enables one to express socially appropriate emotions and behave in socially acceptable ways.  Thus, individuals who are emotionally literate – those who process emotional information intelligently and manage emotions effectively are likely to navigate their personal and social worlds more efficiently.

What is Coaching?
Coaching is a working relationship.  The coach guides and provides the safety necessary for the coachee to explore his own potential.  A coach helps the coachee to create a professional vision.  The coach guides the coachee through the process of developing the skills which are necessary to achieve desired goals.

The STAR Coaching model offered by our coaches contains 6 sessions.  Each session takes 50 minutes and takes place every two weeks.  The process gives every employee a chance to interpret and use in practise the assessment results in MSCEIT (Meyer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test) and personality assessment.  As a part of the coaching process it will be possible to complete the assessment and get the results.

We made sure that the coaching process is protected by the confidentiality rule as well as a strict system of supervisions, which are conducted by the experts in EI coaching.
